when i could just simply click one forum thread and see screenies and stat links of matches played that day. now i have to wait days to navigate through a dozen webpages clicking about 10 times per match where i can barely even find a screenshot...

IT'S SO EASY TO UPLOAD A SCREENSHOT TO A FORUM THREAD AND POST STAT LINKS.
If you want a fancy schmancy website that's fine, but let's have a simple thread too. No need to over-complicate things

@Carras. It was never in one thread. It was a thread per match, in different subfora. So technically it was exactly the same amount of clicks.

One of our main goals with Owned Well is to professionalise - meaning also to have leagues working off the amazing website that scott & nob created and not having the forums as the driving force for leagues but to be the discussion platform instead (as it should be).

Once the match reports are up you'll be able to see all the information and stats you need (I can also throw in a little teaser that theres a very big stats update coming to the website soon, which is dynamic and therefore not suited for bbcode).

In addition so many different sub forums and topics are just messy, I received a lot of complaints about it whilst running GU and it takes a long time to manually collect the data, create a spreadsheet for it, generate the bbcode and then manually do all the posts for it. People greatly underestimate the time it takes to do this!

So while I can understand you wanting to see the matchinformation on the forums, it's not something sustainable or desirable.

I hope that as soon as the match reports are up and stats are live, you'll all be convinced sorry they couldnt be up sooner.

I never liked the old forum match report system, but I can understand wanting all the match results in one place to check right after matches finish. Maybe just having capts post match stats and ss in a thread instead of in the site comments? IR's idea is even better.

Two other things:
-Only two teams made logos, come on guys
-Need a login button on site, logging in through forums isn't intuitive or convenient.

I'm sure stuff will look awesome when it's ready, whatever you guys decide to do.

I can certainly understand wanting a quick and easy way to find all of the recent match results, screenshots, and stats. Ultimately, the website will be the intended destination for all of that information, but it's still a work-in-progress that will constantly be improved. I don't see an issue with having the information posted here on the forums as well, but please understand that getting that information compiled and posted is time-consuming, and most of the staff has either been either playing, administrating, or streaming for 4+ hours (even 6 or more for some of us) by the end of the night. We will definitely work on streamlining the process to hopefully get the information posted more quickly. Again, apologies for the delays.

Just a few critiques, call it constructive or complaining I don't mind.. For a start, let's say my objective is to find the screens or stats of a week 1 match.
1) Site-> ownedwell.com
2) Click view league
3) Scroll down to relevant link and click week 1
4) Find and select match [let's say CODE RED vs GET REKT OR DIE TRYIN]
4b- Okay, I've got a table of statistics. Now I have to figure out these a little because it's unfamiliar - I really hope someone isn't manually putting in all these stats!
SmartCTF stats is what my eyes are trained for and are used to seeing so this is a little bit harder to figure out who is doing what.
5- Looked in comments section, saw they have utstats links and a screenshot. But they aren't linked (any code allowed in comments?) so I have to copy/paste them into a new window. Okay happy now.

It's not hard to find but it's not super intuitive either. Links in odd areas, having to scroll for data because the first 50% of every section is taken up by a large wooden texture with iCTF logo. It was a fair bit quicker with the old weekly forum posts, with everything visible immediately on a couple of clicks.

If the table is generated from a ut stats log file, maybe a link can be put on this page along side it?

For the things i'd rather see on the site:
Minimalise that logo area so you have the data you want to see where it's sitting
Reduce the fonts for matches and other links, so you can have nearly an entire weeks worth of content in one screen view.

As it stands right now the website is beautiful. However, it can still benefit from some changes that would make it easier and faster to use while still remaining pretty.

It is cumbersome to have to scroll down for every piece of information. Here's some suggestions - some may already be in the plans, but all of these suggestions would be in line for maximized professionalism and ease of use.

The recent matches shows 4 matches when it could show all of them, and you have to click on the little date or time to get to the actual match info (should be able to click the empty space, and the only exception should be clicking on a team name brings you to that team's page).

The giant iCTF logo is pointless and wastes tons of space and makes the page awkward and silly. Clicking it does nothing but bring you to the schedule.

You shouldn't need to scroll down to a 3rd page to check the standings - it should be a single click and look. Quick and efficient. As it is, there is huge bold lettering saying STANDINGS 4x - completely unnecessary. Each Division doesn't need huge bold lettering and its own graphic either - smaller lettering will suffice and still look great.

Free Agents page is okay but the spacing and font makes it way too spread out. It is not a very useful page for captains. A dynamically sortable page would be MUCH nicer for usability. Being able to sort by Status (merc/not merc), price (low to high or high to low), position, etc would be fantastic. Incorporating a sortable season stats (and each match being sortable stats) would be awesome (think NFL/any other sport statistics page).

League Info is nothing but one large list - considering making expandable contents so it is easier to navigate and find what you are looking for.

Map elimination page is a pain for captains - it does not dynamically remove maps from the other 10 lists when you select one. Either make it do this or use a sortable list that you can drag the 11 map names into the order you want.

Predictions are rather plain - you can only choose one or the other, no tie option for dev.

Another suggestion is to add a link to ownedwell.com from the forum itself. As it stands, nothing links the forum back to the main page so navigation is halted at that point. The big logo at the top of the forum could be ideal for this, or you could incorporate it in the top bar. Maybe even a quick active leagues link on the top bar, too.
