Big problem please help!

Postby Hermione » Sun Jan 18, 2015 3:12 pm

Hey all, so I was playin sdom the other day, and i was shooting the wall while waiting for others to click, and I noticed the shock beam and my crosshair dot do not align together, this stunned me, cause i dont know if it has anything to do with my aim, or if i should aim where the shock is going now, or my xhair, i always wondered also why sometimes my xhair is directly on the guy in sdom and i shoot it misses, wtf? anyone else having this issue, this is a big problem for me cause idk where to aim now, please help. If its just happening to me I might have to leave sdom tourney or something. Screen shots below:

PS. All these screenshots are when im standing perfectly still, no mouse movement whatsoever.

Always been like that, use a centered crosshair.
Ask around on irc, im sure someone has a link for you.

This one should be centered: https://www.sendspace.com/file/90phwb

what shotman means is that crosshair changes position depending on where you got the weapon, the difference is not much but is there.

I use these aliases to change weapon side while playing,it is a easy way to notice crosshair changing position
just change key for the key you want
Aliases[29]=(Command="sethand Hidden|set input key Hand2",Alias=Hand1)
Aliases[30]=(Command="sethand Center|set input key Hand3",Alias=Hand2)
Aliases[31]=(Command="sethand Right|set input key Hand4",Alias=Hand3)
Aliases[32]=(Command="sethand Left|set input key Hand1",Alias=Hand4)

key=Hand4
then in game just press key and you will see your weapon changing position and so the crosshair

btw, it won't fix your problem

Hey Hermione I made a custom crosshair. I moved it four notches down.

Damn it's pretty accurate. You can barely see the purple color I changed it to. It works for me, but might not work for you. If not I can create a custom crosshair for you and move it 5-10 notches down. I don't know how this crosshair works on other weapons. It looks 98% accurate from what I can tell.

Test this one Hermione.

http://www.mediafire.com/download/x9cuw ... kCross.zip

Put the utx file in the Textures folder. Use it on a server and make sure you put in: mutate ace crosshairscale 1.0

Can someone like Riven or an expierenced Photoshopper tell me how to select pixels and see how many pixels I have selected? I feel overwhelmed when trying to count these out one by one.

I figured out a weird way of doing it. Select. Copy. New.

30 Black Left. 31 Black Right. So not technically horizontally centered.

BTW I'm not sure but I think sniper rifle and shock rifle shoot in different places too, so these crosshairs probably won't be perfect in normal weapons.

Cant believe people are just noticing this.

Been rocking a custom centred crosshair for years, why I can take people heads off on stalwart xl at the small ramps!

Dark green dot is the best.

There was another crosshair that unrealshots or snky (most likely snky) sent me a few years back. It was like a cross with the top part off.. so it was flat on the top. It was an awesome crosshair that was centered and helpful with aiming in reg ig & reg weapons. I have it somewhere on my pc, but too much work to look..

So there are 3 different mediafiles links in this thread, what's the difference between them?

Apparently the sniper shoots in a slightly different spot than the ig rifle?

What crosshairs are you guys using in sniper?
