Word, just get a merc. I just found out I'm going to be missing a starter (at least 1), but I don't give a fuck. I have a deep team. Let's do this and get it out of the way.

D3r: You realise that it's obvious exactly whether a team had an advantage or not because they entered their preferences on the site. If a team should have played their 6th favourite but ended up playing their 3rd favourite and still lost - they were obviously at an advantage. They do not get a do over when they played a map that they expressed a preference for before the game. It is not "unfair" that they lost, because if you had offered them the choice before the match, they would have 100% picked to play the map that they played (3rd favourite) - we know this for certain because the captain entered their map preferences in the site.

Obviously, if you ask them afterwards "So now that you lost your 3rd favourite map, would you like to void it and play your 6th favourite map?" a) they would say yes and b) it is silly to suggest that this is a fair scenario.

The only people who got an advantage by playing the wrong map is team A in your scenario.. doesnt matter if they may of won another map.
In no way is it not fair for team B, They played a map more advantageous for them selves (decided by them selves in the mappicking), What if's dont matter in this scenario.

d3r you are literally the only person on that side of the issue. I think you need to take a step back and reconsider

i get what d3r is saying, and i'm kinda surprised others don't understand it. sure, some map picks are more advantageous than others based on team comp, but that's a small number imo. most of the maps could be tossups depending on who plays better, comms, etc. what i believe d3r is trying to say is simply that the incorrect map was played in some instances, and the outcomes could've been different -- good or bad.

whether or not one team has an "advantage" or not is going to depend on who you ask, lol. an "advantage" isn't determined by elimination order, which is what most of you seem to be implying.

on a side note - i'm trying to get out of my prior obligation a little early in order to make a time on sunday, but i told rick i can't make any promises.

nj admins; pragmatic decision. reschedules are undesirable, so there needs to be very substantial reasons for going through with one. you determined a reschedule wasn't needed and explained your reasoning, and none of the teams from that group disputed that reasoning.

sucks major dick but i think replaying so many maps is bad...i wouldn't even replay whites pick...even if he realized it was wrong. Just because a person spoke up doesn't mean they are more worthy than others. People just may confide in admins/team mates.

Personally this is a huge mistake given the small season and either all replay or no replay at all ;) debatable though

I think the way was handled has logic and to me is valid

I agree with the public stoning

THE ADMINS DONT AGREE WITH ME! THE MIGHTY HYND3R??? THEREFORE THE ADMINS ARE WRONG AND THIS SITE IS NOT PROFESSIONAL. HAHHAHAHAHHAAHAAH

Holy fuck are you kidding me? There is no "correct" answer in a decision like this. The admins made their decision, and you need to fucking get over yourself. A ruling didn't go your way, guess how often that's happened to me in the past. I agree with this decision and so do many others. You obviously can't please everybody, but this idea that you are always right is ridiculous. I'm playing this rematch at a pretty severe disadvantage even. They obviously wanted to deter even me from a rematch, but I'm white choc and I will win the rematch. And you're grasping at straws with the advantage/disadvantage doesn't matter. Might as well not be map elimination then, might as well replay every map all of the time because evwn though I picked a map, there's a chance I could win another map. So let's keep replaying until I win.

Good ruling. I understand what d3r is saying, but I don't think it's very applicable..fairly abstract.
