The following maps are finalized and will be in the inaugural season.

Duku
Grudge

I said at the beginning of the discussions that the maplist would be fixed at 11 however after reading comments, we changed our mind. If people want to expand the maplist to 13, the option exists of adding two new maps: Nuance and Adonis. A poll will be open for 48 hours. The new maps must receive 60+% of the popular vote. If they exceed the 60% approval rate, they will be added and if they don't, we will roll with the current 11 maps.

Maps is always a difficult subject. There is such a diverse range of likes/dislikes for certain maps and we are striving towards finding a nice balance. Duku will be up for elimination in S2 and if we keep receiving new league-worthy maps, other less popular maps will be replaced.

11 or 13, you decide.

Can someone explain to me how Acrony, Complex, Mesmerize, and Pryxon are better maps than Sprinta? Who was even calling for Sprinta to be removed in the first place? I haven't played the new maps so I can vote accurately on that issue.

Sprinta is notorious for being a turtley map with horrific OT/Flag stand offs in matches.

few days ago I've played a pug and we had 30!!!! minutes OT
in a pug! not even a cup.
shots serenity finalz etc played in that pug as well.

not having sprinta in is stupid as well, it gives enough action! finally a map where 95% of the players shoot less than 40 acc for example.

and the option "11 or 13" is also weird tbh, why not one of the 2?

First of all, acrony needs some spawn edits to be usable. Secondly, collardreams is more complete and worthy than both Adonis and nuance. Thirdly, are the newest versions of all these maps finally on all the servers?

very disappointed. A lot of the comments were to add sprinta.

Acrony is so much worse than sprinta and it is a terrible iCTF competitive map. I have mentioned this before.

Why not just add Sprinta, Adonis, Nuance, and CollarDreams? Newest edits of all of them (lifts in back of base in Sprinta, fixed w/e in Adonis, fixed textures/spawns in Nuance).

Agreed with some of the things others are saying about sprinta > acrony.

The main problem with sprinta in the past has been flag standoffs, and I"m betting those can be fixed with just the addition of lifts like was suggested in the map threads.

Acrony has almost always ended 1-0 or 2-1 in league games, even with really uneven teams, because the laming style of league play is so easy there.

Sprinta is a crutch map. It's easy to D, most people feel comfortable on it and it's particularly boring in standoffs. If left in the season, the chance of it getting weekly picks and plays is fairly high and we don't want people just falling back onto crutch maps. It's a sensitive subject and everyone has an opinion. Apologies if you are unhappy with the list.

im probably not playing but overall i think the maplist is an improvement from previous seasons and in the right direction...cant really ask for more than that. people should prep up and iterate maps now if they want to see them included next season.

i wasnt ever really a fan of sprinta tbh (wasnt ever really good at it either). i think the map has potential but the flagroom areas need work. lifts are good for helping against standoffs (the worst feature of that map) but i also think there needs to be some improvement in the design (mainly flagroom exits) which provides some cover or ability to work angles from respawning players or positional bottlenecks (should you choose to utilize those map features). also i know it hardly matters, but any situation where a defender (from the back of the flagroom) can get a kill on an enemy player literally in the middle of the map needs adjustment.

I think removing sprinta is ok - probably a little horrible if you get into stand offs. But I would have liked to see a higher cap map out in for it if it was going to be replaced. But I think the fact that the map is popular and would get played should count for something, even with elimination. From a map vs map comparison. Acrony is not an improvement on sprinta by any stretch of the imagination.

I'm still undecided on the new maps as I feel like I haven't played them enough to be convinced about their league quality. When does the poll close?

new version of nuance need to be uploaded asap.

i had to vote no because of adonis. I've played D on it 3-4 times now and don't think it's competition worthy.
I could see nuance in the league though.
