Looking forward to basically only KOTG, because at a time when UT has this low count of players factions is one of the worst ideas ever.

One, factions doesn't really excite the competitive nature in me to actually start pugging and un-rust. Due to that reason you have a low chance of actually being on a factions team, in the end Factions becomes a circle jerk of the people that are around IRC 24/7. I do not have that much time to devote to UT99 anymore, and am only around a bit prior to seasons or during seasons.

Two, starting UT4 with Factions is a bad idea because of the same issues as above. That was the biggest benefit of the league format IMO, because in the league format skills matters more than popularity.

Regardless I know people enjoy factions it so I won't shit on it more than that.

All reasonable points Banko but I'll explain some of the reasoning..

People aren't really around IRC 24/7 anymore and I plan on getting a bit more involved with team creation this time around. I noticed last time that it was like a Grade 5 dance with the boys and girls standing on the opposite sides of the dancefloor. I will help mix it up for the people who want to put on their dancing shoes. All people need to do is signup, get ranked and I will try to help them find teams.

Last Factions for iCTF was done in one weekend. This one will likely be over two weekends to space the playing. A lot of people don't have 6-7 weekends to commit however 1-2 is a lot more feasible. It ties back to the idea of people not having a lot of time to commit to UT99. I'm hoping that some mini-tourneys will re-invigorate a spark for some people but if it doesn't, then that is just the way it is (quoting my friend 2pac).

The UT4 Factions CTF tournament will be a one or two day event with only a few teams. There are a handful of players playing and this will be us dipping our feet into UT4 competition. With new builds, updates and yada yada it makes less sense to have a longterm league at this point however uncapped leagues and tournaments are something that we should be expecting in 2016.

i may have lost my activity on the irc page. but miracle is still here in full force for sdom and ictf and ut4. as well as rocketleague. ive been playing all of them constantly. been playing 99 a lot more then ppl "think" Lookin for a team for sdom someone recruit me??

10 days since last ctf pug I knew ut was dying much faster, but didn't realize it was that bad in the pug scene as well.

Finally get to play a kotr on a computer that works

Will kotr be moving to ut4 in the future?

So, if we're not going to do another iCTF season ever again, I'd like to do a team iLMS event again if possible. I genuinely lol'd and enjoyed that event.

Honestly, I'd rather have you keep your focus on your stream over running another event/league. There is more eye candy, lols, entertainment, and most importantly more exposure to the PACO brand when you choose streaming over adminning.

I can almost guarantee he gets more satisfaction out of streaming games he wants to play and interacting with viewers vs. babysitting the egos in this community.

Last I checked he was taking applications from those who wanted to help drum interest and help overseer and the box was empty.
