The premise of the game is that you start as a small cell, eat food and grow larger. The larger you get, the slower you move. Large items can split up and get a speed boost to devour other smaller cells however they now become vulnerable to other predators on the server. You can feed friends and make them larger and you can also send viruses at other cells that can break them up into bits and pieces.. the game is extremely simple but extremely fun.

Great game. I don't understand the point system though. Sometimes I'll be stuck at 690 even though I eat cell food and people.

It seems I'm in trouble when I'm middle sized. All the bigger ones go for me. When I'm small no one cares.

Your mass decreases with time, and it decreases quicker, the bigger you are. At one point, those small "cells" aren't enough to increase it, or rather you can't eat that many that fast. You gotta have some luck to get bigger, but generally start running from anyone bigger than you, don't walk in the middle of plane so you don't get surrounded (but don't exactly be in a corner either), and don't miss out on easy snacks. Also use viruses to your advantage. When you are 1000 mass big you can start giving viruses mass to disintegrate big ones. There are many tricky tactics. Example: when you are split into 2 and you start to come back together, don't join in too fast - get near someone slightly bigger, make them attack you, then join in and omnomnom. Idk i mostly get to first 5 in 5-6 tries in 10-20 mins :3 (just so you know )
