saCTF RUNE

I just have a quick question, what is the point of giving armor and belt to the offence in rune? A map is so offence heavy and always ends up in 10:7 or something so why making it even more difficult for defenders....

Defenders have pads which lets them take an extra headshot and theres tri vials everywhere allowing you to take an extra shot. 27.5 second cd.

Though i do agree the armor is in a silly place.

There is a helmet which would absorb a headshot completely iirc, but not anywhere on this map. Thigh Pads and Chest Armor only reduce a certain % of damage, whereas belt absorbs 100% before taking from health at all (at least that's how I understand it)

The only UT math I know is that if you grab the amp the opposing team instantly gains 100% accuracy.

Agreed with Xeno on the aesthetics. I can't see shit on that map. :OWfacepalm:

There is no helmet in UT99 afaik unless it's a custom thingy. Body shots are 67 damage. Headshots are 150 damage.

You're correct about various armor absorption amounts:

Belt: 100%
Armor: 75%
Pads: 50%

Pads don't get an extra head shot, head shot on someone with pads they still dying to 1 shot
