Windows Movie Maker won't reconize my Fraps .avi files.

I had 3:25 minutes of raw Jerry .avi videos. They all worked perfectly. Then one day all the video clips would not show up and gave the ! symbol. I tried to re-add them but to no avail. Anyone know what to do?

Did you move or delete the original avi clips? That's the only thing that pops up in my mind.

No. It's in the right location. This is the error I get.

Are the files on the same location? Did you try to make a new project with files in a different location? If yes then jerrybleak.avi or the sum of all files/project is too big or getting there (probably uncompressed too). Movie Maker sometimes can get picky with anything above featherweight... Eitherway dont use windows movie maker if you intend to do a movie, there are loads of alternatives and some quite user friendly like vegas. If you have no patience just get ezvid and call it a day.

I figured it out. I had malicious software on my computer. I downloaded Video to Video to compress my 435MB into a smaller version. Ever since I downloaded it I've had problems playing videos on windows media player as well. Well it's gone now.

Now another question. What should I use to compress my 435MB video?

I was going to play the project on a different computer and had assumed my PC just couldn't handle it. Saved myself a lot of work :'D.

I actually recorded Fraps along with UT for the longest time. You can get up to 1TB in no time. I have 68.5 GB in the fraps folder right now. Sometimes I'd accidentally hit the F9 key and fraps would record.

20 seconds = 732 MB Fraps.
