Rain Plays 4 Alzheimer Research

Postby rain » Thu Jun 04, 2015 10:06 am

Good morning everyone,

My volleyball team has decided to play a charitable volleyball tournament next Saturday with proceeds going to the Alzheimer Society Of Toronto & Kids, Cops & Computers. My Grandma has been recently diagnosed with Alzheimer's and I will be playing for her next weekend in hope that we can one day find a cure for this terrible disease.

I am hoping to achieve a personal goal of over $1000 to help find a cure for this terrible disease. Thank you in advance for your support and any donations made.

Truly sorry to hear about your grandmother's diagnosis, rain. My great-grandmother had Alzheimer's when I was very young and I remember how confused and out of touch she became towards the end, even though I was too young to understand it all.

Have you thought about doing a charity twitch stream or trying to organize one? I know they can be pretty successful as people tend to be quite generous online for worthy causes. Just a thought as it might be another avenue for you to try and reach or even exceed your goal. Regardless, I wish you luck in your fundraising endeavors.

Rain, I'm sorry to hear that about your grandmother. More strides have been made against Alzheimers in the last 20 years than ever before, but ofc long way to go. A few distant relatives of mine had it - sadly, they couldn't recognize their own family members. Truly bummed me out to hear some of the stuff and the treatment they received from other people. Alzheimer's Association is pretty popular here in USA for research.

Create an account & create a page here - people will help you reach and maybe exceed your goal: http://www.gofundme.com/Non-Profits-Charities/

Good luck, buddy.
